TOUR OF CENTER OF THE INLAND BAYS

Members of the Green Designation class were invited to visit the Center of the Inland Bays at Indian River. The nonprofit Center was established in 1994 to promote the wise use and enhancement of the Inland Bays Watershed through habitat protection and restoration, science and research, education, and outreach and public policy. At one time the building was used as a coast guard barracks. When the Center took it over, it was converted into offices and conference rooms and was built using all the latest green methods.
