DOWNTOWN REHOBOTH HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE

Rehoboth's Christmas Parade was held Monday evening, December 7. We had a wonderful time watching it with two of our grandsons, Braden and Kai. We were joined by Jenn and Brian Barrows and their children, Griffin and Grant, our friend, Monte Schisler, and Jenn's mother, Joanne. We all had a wonderful time on a clear cold night. Some sat in chairs, some stood, and Braden decided to watch most of it from inside the car since he didn't like all the noise. The kids loved all the candies thrown by the parade participants. The parade lasted one hour and ended with Santa's sleigh, of course. See more of our photos in the slideshow on the right side. We also have parade photos on our FACEBOOK page. MORE REAL ESTATE PHOTOS

This house is near the beach and is a small homey place with great living space including a guest cabin in the back yard. The photo with the blue wall is the guest cabin.

BALD EAGLE SIGHTING

We have a cornfield behind our house that right now is the home of lots of Snow Geese and Canadian Geese. BUT two weekends ago our neighbor came over to show us what was in the field--it was this beautiful Eagle. These are the kinds of things we love because they remind us so much of our home in the mountains.

REAL ESTATE PHOTOS OF THE WEEK

Remember the picture of Path on the ladder on top of the car? Well, this is the home that was shot that day. It is on the beach in Rehoboth Beach.

A PINK AFFAIR TO REMEMBER

Was a fashion show fund raiser for the Breast Cancer Society which showcased cancer survivors strutting their stuff on the runway. Check out the slide show on the right.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE

Here you can see how we sometimes photograph the exteriors of houses. Does anyone out there want to invest in an aerial system for us?

BOARDWALK CONSTRUCTION

JUST PRETTY PICTURES

This is the little lighthouse at the entrance to Rehoboth Beach, coming in on Rehoboth Avenue. Taken two days after the storm with a beautiful sunset.

Two days after the storm, at sunset, on the beach.

NOR 'IDA

Much beach erosion and water up to dunes and boardwalk and on highways. There is up a 5-ft. drop at the ends of the paths from boardwalks to the beach. Rt. 1 between Dewey and Bethany was closed because sand and water was across the highway.

THIS 'N THAT

We want to remind you that if you want to see any image larger, just click on it. And, if you are interested in any house, just contact us, and we'll get you in touch with the proper realtor.

We are being kept busy with our photography. House sales are improving and this, in turn, helps our business. We do other types of photography too. You'll see here soon, two family photo shoots we did recently. We shot a fashion show that was set up as a fund raiser for cancer. We were also given the opportunity to shoot a major storm that came up the coast in November. It was called Nor'Ida--part nor'easter and part of the tropical storm, Ida. There was much coastal flooding and very much beach erosion.

The boardwalk continues to be under construction, with promises that it'll be done by tourist time.

We have spent as much time with family as we could. I guess the big event was the 6th birthday of grandson, Andrew.

We continue to enjoy our new house.

A CHILD'S LOVE

Anyone who is a grandparent knows the special joy and bond there is between a child and the grandparent. We who love them and spoil them and then send them home are blessed to be placed in our grandchildrens' lives. Today I spent the afternoon playing Uno on our screened in porch with Andrew. What a quiet, funny, enjoyable and bonding afternoon it was. Grape juice, pretzels, cards, and the cool summer air made for a wonderful time that I'll never forget. We need to treasure these times since time goes so fast. It was just the other day that this picture below was shot when Braden was just born. Now he is almost 3 1/2. Andrew and Kai are 5 1/2 and heading for kindergarten, and little Chase is 1 1/2. I don't want to miss any part of the boys' lives.
