As the years have gone by, our client list has grown. We no longer do just Ocean Atlantic realtor listings. We also have clients from other top agencies in Rehoboth. Path has also perfected her craft, using a quality camera, wide angle lenses, HDR photography, and a number of computer programs which she manipulates so that she gets the best quality photos "with pop". She also has an artistic eye which helps her get just the right shot of a house or one specific room. No one can just go out with the camera anymore and get a beautiful shot. This "one shot" found by her trained eye must also be worked on via computer to give it the best lighting, the best contrast, the best view of a dream home for someone.
Staging is also important for a home to look like something someone would want to purchase. We might move furniture, "de-clutter", add color, and open doors to give the home a beautiful look. Down here it also must look like we're at the beach. We need sun and strive to photograph on sunny days to give us light and shadows.

LIFE IN REHOBOTH BEACH, DE
Almost four years ago, we moved to Delaware to start a new life. Path was going to be a realtor. Promised a position with a local realtor, the only thing she learned from this person was "how not to be a realtor". The good part of this was that Path became part of a brokerage where there were good people and she became friends and colleagues with some very good people and good realtors. Ocean Atlantic Sothebys and the people there taught her much.
Being around the business of selling homes, Path saw a need for good real estate photography. With the equipment we had, she experimented, researched, and refined her craft. Eventually some realtors decided to use her work. Now, over three years later and with much better equipment and techniques, she is known for her photographs with "pop". She has proved herself to be a factor in how quickly a property will sell.
Some realtors still insist on using a "point and click", taking their own photos of their listings. But, slowly, more are becoming aware of how much good photographs help in the selling process.

CHILDREN'S BEACH HOUSE GOLF TOURNAMENT
We are proud to be the official photographers for the Children's Beach House. Recently they sponsored a golf tournament at the Peninsula to earn money for the CBH.
PERSONAL NOTES
We started this blog to inform people of our business, SMB Real Estate Photography. Actually, our first blog was an attempt to highlight our photography of all kinds as well as keep our friends in Pennsylvania informed of our new lives down here in Rehoboth Beach. We called it "Broadkill Beach Babes Babble" because we first lived on the Broadkill. Since then there have been lots of changes in our lives.

We are proud to offer our first BOOK. Christopher Peterson's "Eyecons in Hooray for Hollywood" show is captured in a hard or soft cover book that was photographed right here in Rehoboth Beach, DE, at the Celebration Mall in downtown Rehoboth. Many of his impersonations are featured in beautiful color. All photos were taken by Path. Christopher is taking his show to Las Vegas, so this is a good book to own as it may be his last season in the area. Check out the book as you scroll down our blog at the right. A PINK AFFAIR TO REMEMBER
Was a fashion show fund raiser for the Breast Cancer Society which showcased cancer survivors strutting their stuff on the runway. Check out the slide show on the right.

Here you can see how we sometimes photograph the exteriors of houses. Does anyone out there want to invest in an aerial system for us?
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
Our church, Epworth-Rehoboth Methodist, sponsors and provides the facilities for the local Boys and Girls Club. We photographed several of their events and provided them with a computer slide show. The last event we photographed was a visit by service dogs that "listen" to kids read to them. It was fun to see these kids seriously reading to them and watch the attentiveness of the dogs. Please see the slide show over at the right of these events.
PARTS MODEL
