COOPER'S DIARY PT. 4

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. Both my mommas are from Lancaster County. We still have family there. Everytime we drive through Lancaster County, both mommas sigh and say "we should still live here. It is SO green and clean and pretty. And it smells SO good!" I sniff and all I smell is manure. Yuck!

Recently we were in New Holland, PA, to visit Grandma Rose. You'll see her in the photos. She's really nice and she loves doggies. Sometimes she babysits Gracee and me. She has Amish friends who live on farms. Farms are really neat places. Lots of smells and lots of animals. I visited a few farms with Rose and the mommas. I loved the horses, cows, and the one tiny foal I met. I got my picture taken with them all. It was a fun day!

COOPER'S DIARY PT. 3

My mommas are trying to teach me to walk nicely on a leash, to meet people, to be calm, and to "sit, stay, and heel". To do this, they take me to all kinds of places. I love all the smells and all the people we meet. Just about everyone looks at me and smiles. They think I'm the most beautiful puppy in the whole world. I always sit because my mommas are, then, proud of me. My favorite shop to go in is Creatable Crafts. Our friend Elona owns and runs it and I love lying on the cement floor in there. I love Elona. She hugs me and lets the kids in there hug me too. We also stopped and had my picture taken in front of Louie's Pizza (mommas love it), Thrashers FF (they love them too), and one of me on a boardwalk bench so that you can see Dolle's sign. behind me. I was tired in this photo as you can see (my eyes are closed). They also took my picture in front of the Candy Kitchen. They've taken two shots there. They're going to take more so you can see how much I grow. I was just at the vet's this week because I had a tick, and I had gained over 7 lbs. in 8 days. Can you believe it?

COOPER'S DIARY PT. 2

Since I've come to live in Rehoboth Beach, I've been very busy! We're either walking, playing on the deck or yard, travelling in the car, or visiting our family. One of the first things we bought after I moved in was a basket for Gracee to sit in in the car. It hooks onto the head rest and raises her up so she can see out. Secretly, my mammas said (they thought I didn't hear) "this'll keep Cooper away from her". I was stuck on the seat and I couldn't see out the window like Gracee could. This just wasn't fair! So one afternoon while we were driving Gracee was looking out her basket at me all smug and I couldn't stand it any longer. I figured out a way to climb into the basket with her. Of course, Gracee told the mammas by growling at me (she always growls at me), and they looked back to see what the ruckus was. When they saw me in the basket, instead of being angry, they laughed and took a picture. I love those mammas. Now I climb into the basket whenever I get in the car. Sometimes Gracee isn't with us, and I climb into it and sit there by myself. Funny thing, though. The basket seems to be getting smaller! Pretty soon I won't be able to fit into it!

COOPER'S DIARY

I am Cooper John Snyder-Dellet. I was born on February 10, 2010, in Silver Spring, MD. I am ten weeks old today. My daddy's name is Pelcorp's Nutty Buddy, and my mommy is Nyla of Paradise for Pets II. My daddy was a champion one time in a show. I have five brothers and two sisters. I'll get to see one of my brothers now and then because he visits Rehoboth Beach for weekends. My aunt already lives in Rehoboth. I have been with my mommas now for 2 1/2 weeks. They are pretty cool ladies. We go to lots of different places. I also have one sister now who lives with us. She is Gracee who is a Yorkshire Terrier. Gracee is only 5 lbs., but she rules. I'm just getting used to playing with her. I'd like to squash her but know I shouldn't do that. I weigh over 16 lbs. so I know I'm stronger than her, but I allow her to get the better of me at times. She doesn't really like me, but I keep trying to make her be my friend. Gracee will be 4 very soon.
The picture of me above was taken today on the beach at Rehoboth. I love the beach. I love the sand in my paws and in my mouth, and I love digging in it. I got in the water once. I heard my mommas talking about my swimming in the water. I can't wait to do that. I think I'll be a good swimmer.
We go on lots of walks and I like to meet new people and animal friends. Because I go on lots of adventures, I decided to write this diary. Hope you like it. Come back again to read more and see pictures of me as I grow up.

AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Before we started this blog, we did some aerial photography of the area for local real estate agents. We hired a woman pilot who flew out of Dover. The flight had been postponed several times because of clouds, rain, and/or wind. It just so happened that Andrew was visiting when we got the call to go up. We had asked permission ahead of time if he could go along if he happened to be with us when we were able to fly.

We were told that the small plane had heat up front but not in the back. Since Andrew and I would be sitting in the back, I was concerned that he would be cold. I made him put four layers of clothes on (much to his distress) and I pretty much did the same. Path also dressed warmly. Andrew was excited and I was overly protective, worrying about any fear he might have. Actually, he had none. He was fine. And hot!!! Once we started flying, I realized how we had over dressed. We were so crowded in our little plane that it was hard to undress. We sweated and Andrew looked at me as if to say, "I told you so".

We took off from a field off of rt. 1. Let me repeat--a field, a grassy, rutty field. Once we got up in the air, we were in awe with what we saw. Water water everywhere. What did the houses and buildings sit on? Was that real dirt they were on or did they bring in dirt to set the houses on. Being from Lancaster County, PA, I loved seeing the farms, barns, and fields. But then we'd come to more water.

Path was busy clicking away as I did not bring a camera along. I kept fussing over Andrew and he kept saying he was fine. All of a sudden I realized that I did not feel so well. One good thing I did to plan for this trip was bring along plastic bags in case Andrew got sick. Well, guess who got sick. I started gagging into my plastic bag. Andrew just looked at me. Once Path heard me, she admitted she didn't feel so well either. The pilot just laughed (nicely). She stopped at Ocean City Airport to let us recuperate. All I wanted to do was go home. Andrew wanted something to eat at the airport. I said NO.

We got back into the plane, minus some clothes and took off. No good. Path and I were still sick, holding plastic bags, and it seemed like the plane was going in too many circles. Being a good photographer, however, Path still clicked away and got some good shots. We cut the flight short and feeling like fools headed back to our house.

I hope we didn't frighten Andrew for life from flying someday on a bigger airplane.

Several weeks later we bought some meds and took three of them a piece and went back up with no problems. More good photos. I've included some photos here of Andrew, a space ship, the towers on the beach at Henlopen. More photos are in a slide show on the right side.

THIS 'N THAT

We've been very busy over the winter months. There really wasn't any down time because of weather. Yes, we had major blizzards here in Delaware, but work stopped for only a few days. Path has been doing most of the photography since I've been laid up with rotator cuff surgery and could not use my arm for much. I still can't hold my arm up to take a picture.

See Me Beautiful Photography found a new outlet for creativity. Path has taken photographs of two pregnant women in their last months of pregnancy. These are beautiful images, and we hope to get their permission to post some of them on our blog. Both women have just given birth to two healthy baby boys.

SMB Real Estate Photography was kept busy too over the winter months. Houses are selling down here and realtors are still in the need of quality photos.

We've done work for Schell Brothers and Echelon Custom Interiors. They entered some of their homes into national competition and won several gold and silver awards. We felt honored to have helped them win in a small way via our photographs. If you come down Rt. 1 into Rehoboth Beach, you'll see two billboards with our photography showing their homes.
